The Australasian Mycological Society (AMS) is committed to promoting teaching and learning in all areas of fungal biology. With the recent decline in mycology education at schools and universities across Australasia, the AMS established the AMS Fungal Education Subcommittee in 2016 to help address this trend.

My Fungal Passion 🎥🍄
As part of this mission, we are excited to launch My Fungal Passion, a new short video series celebrating the diversity of fungal research and the people behind it. Each short video (~2 min) will showcase the many ways fungi shape our world across different sectors (academia, industry and beyond). From lab discoveries to applied innovations, these stories aim to highlight the incredible diversity and impact of mycology.
We invite students, researchers, and professionals from all fields to share their own fungus story. Whether you’re exploring fungal genetics, working with industry applications, or simply inspired by the hidden world of fungi, your voice belongs in this series.
🎬Check out our pilot video by Chendi Yu, a PhD student at the University of Queensland. Thank you, Chendi, for your amazing contribution!
